The Gunners have also renewed their interest in Julian Alvarez of Atletico Madrid and are keen on both Morgan Rogers and Bruno Guimaraes. Discussions between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid have taken place at the ownership level regarding Alvarez, though Atletico Madrid does not wish to sell him, and there is a significant difference in the clubs’ valuations.
Alvarez’s preference is reportedly a move to Barcelona, and the Spanish club is not giving up on signing him. Barcelona’s current bid of just over £100m remains on the table, with sources indicating they could increase it to more than £110m (€130m) plus bonuses.
